Timeline of Achievements:

We announced our ambitious initiative to the world at the 20th World Science Forum, which was held on the 19th of November 2019 in Budapest (Hungary). We hosted our own session at this prestigious event that was aptly titled: "Responsible Education: A Call for Action."

Covid-19 impacted the entire world in 2020, and our foundation also had to postpone our planned activities and initiatives. However, we also rose to the occasion, by hosting several webinars on the future of education and a few online training sessions for students.

The GiLE Journal of Skills Development (GJSD) was established in 2020. It is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed international scientific journal on soft skills development for the Digital Age (eISSN 2732-3781).

We successfully launched the (online) GiLE4Youth International Scientific Conference in 2021 to promote research and the ongoing dialogue relating to employability, human skills, and lifelong learning.

The GiLE Academy was established as a direct response to the global skills crisis. It is an intervention that is targeted at students and recent graduates to help address their personal skills gap.

The GiLE Foundation established a collaboration with the Hungarian National Commission for UNESCO. Our two projects, the Changemakers Youth Forum and the GiLE4Youth Scientific Conference, are officially under the patronage of the Commission.

The Changemakers Youth Forum was launched as a project that is facilitated by the GiLE Foundation and co-created together with youth and youth-led organisations in Hungary. It was launched to promote youth engagement, youth participation, and youth leadership.
