The GiLE Foundation was co-created by
Dr. Beke Judit and Mr. Craig V. Johnson.

The Global Institute for Lifelong Empowerment (GiLE) is a foundation based in Hungary.
 
It was launched in 2019 to support young people’s pursuit for a successful and meaningful life.

Timeline of Achievements:

19 Nov 2019
The Global Institute for Lifelong Empowerment (GiLE) is launched at the World Science Forum.

We announced our ambitious initiative to the world at the 20th World Science Forum, which was held on the 19th of November 2019 in Budapest (Hungary). We hosted our own session at this prestigious event that was aptly titled: "Responsible Education: A Call for Action."

2020
The Year of COVID-19
Launch of Online Webinars and Training Sessions

Covid-19 impacted the entire world in 2020, and our foundation also had to postpone our planned activities and initiatives. However, we also rose to the occasion, by hosting several webinars on the future of education and a few online training sessions for students.

Publication of our first scientific journal

The GiLE Journal of Skills Development (GJSD) was established in 2020. It is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed international scientific journal on soft skills development for the Digital Age (eISSN 2732-3781).

Launch of our GiLE4Youth Scientific Conference

We successfully launched the (online) GiLE4Youth International Scientific Conference in 2021 to promote research and the ongoing dialogue relating to employability, human skills, and lifelong learning.

Launch of the GiLE Academy
Communication Skills Course (2)

The GiLE Academy was established as a direct response to the global skills crisis. It is an intervention that is targeted at students and recent graduates to help address their personal skills gap.

Sept 2021
Our foundation receives patronage support from the Hungarian National Commission for UNESCO

The GiLE Foundation established a collaboration with the Hungarian National Commission for UNESCO. Our two projects, the Changemakers Youth Forum and the GiLE4Youth Scientific Conference, are officially under the patronage of the Commission.
