Meet the team: Helena Kovac

Dr. Helena Kovac is a scientific collaborator at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland where she explores changes in teaching methods, strategies of adaptability, and pedagogical innovations. She also works on developing a better understanding of teaching and learning transversal skills in engineering education, as well as on topics related to project-based learning. Helena holds a doctorate in education sciences, obtained through a Marie Curie Fellowship in the European Doctorate in Teacher Education (EDiTE), and by graduating with highest honours from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary and University of Lisbon, Portugal. Prior to her fellowship, Helena worked as a consultant for Technopolis Group (Brighton, UK) and she did a traineeship at the European Commission, in Directorate-General for Education and Culture (Brussels, Belgium). Most of her research work and her academic interests rotate around topics of teacher learning and development, pedagogical innovations, systems and sociology of learning and the future of education.
