Meet the team: Andrea Tick

Dr. habil. Andrea Tick is a professor with over 26 years of experience in higher education. She graduated in Mathematics, Computer Science and English language at the University of Szeged. She studied Mathematics at the University of Naples Frederico II, then received an ESP degree at the University of Warwick. Later Dr. Tick graduated also as an economist in Budapest. Her PhD and Dr. habil research areas is digital teaching and learning with special aspects of methodologies. She focused also on the topic of internet security, user behaviour regarding digital learning. Dr. Tick is currently lecturing as a full-time associate professor at Óbuda University, Hungary, where she joined the team in January 2019. Dr. Tick has always been interested in the most up-to-date educational methodologies, she regularly conducts research in eLearning and digital learning. She is a developer of several digital courses and she is author and co-author of a number of research papers and books. Beyond possessing severe theoretical knowledge Dr. Tick has respectable experience and practice in the field of blended and digital learning. During her career, she has developed a number of new solutions to enhance successful knowledge delivery. Dr Tick enjoys good relations with partner universities abroad, she is regularly invited to give guest lectures in European higher educational institutions. She is a project manager, professional and financial manager of multiple successful projects.
